English Language Training (ELT)
English Language Training (ELT) has been contracted by the Department of Economic Security (DES) to provide integrated skills instruction to adult refugees, asylees, and Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders who have lived less than five years in the U.S. Students in these classes learn contextualized language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). Information about using technology for language learning is provided. Aspects of U.S. culture and civics helpful for interacting in community, workplace, and educational settings are included.

Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA)
The Friendly House Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) Program's primary goal is to help refugees achieve economic self-sufficiency by providing temporary financial support and employment services. Key objectives include offering financial aid for basic needs, referring participants to employment agencies to create Employability Plans (EP), and ensuring services are culturally and linguistically appropriate. The program provides RCA for single clients and childless couples, RCA TANF Differential Payments for families with children, and monthly follow-ups. Eligible clients include refugees, asylees, and others with ORR status, who must meet residency and income requirements to enroll.

Refugee Relocation Services Program (RRSP)
The Refugee Relocation Services Program (RRSP) at Friendly House supports newly arrived refugees in the United States by providing essential services and resources to help them establish their lives through transportation, communication, education, and employment assistance.
